Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die For No-Filter Primer & Mineral-Matte CC Cream
My skin is just melting in this Summer heat, and so, I’m sad to say, is my makeup. I’m not looking to wear a full coverage, stay-in-place makeup over Summer – I prefer something a little lighter, but I do still want it to stay in place in the heat and humidity, and if it has a few skin benefits, then this is a bonus.
The duo of the newly discovered Peter Thomas Roth Skin to Die for No-Filter Mattifying Primer & Complexion Perfector and Mineral-Matte CC Cream might just do the trick. The Skin to Die for No-Filter Mattifying Primer & Complexion Perfector is ever so slightly tinted, and goes on easily, to help blur, fill, and reduce the look of pores, fine lines and other skin imperfections. The subtle universal tint can be worn on its own, or under makeup if you prefer a little more colour. As a primer, it does help foundation or CC Cream applied over the top stay in place longer. With a few imperfections to cover up on my mature skin, I’m opting for a CC Cream over the top of the Primer. The Skin to Die For Mineral-Matte CC Cream not only provides sheer, buildable, colour correcting coverage, it contains a slew of skincare ingredients for extra benefits. Hyaluronic Acid helps to attract and retain water from the atmosphere to hydrate skin, whilst THD Ascorbate, a potent ingredient 50 x more powerful than traditional Vitamin C helps with skin brightness. Light-scattering optics help to diffuse the appearance of imperfections, whilst Vitamin E provides antioxidant benefits, and Kaolin Clay helps absorb excess oil. Available in 3 Shades. Skin to Die For Primer 30ml RRP $44.00. Skin to Die For Mineral-Matte CC Cream 30ml RRP $59.00.
The products certainly have a heap of benefits – so did they work for me, and do they stay in place and provide the coverage I’m after? Yes, yes, and yes. The 2 products (applied with a QVS Mattifying Sponge to help apply evenly – it eliminates the streaks you get with fingers!), are absolutely perfect. The Primer helps the CC Cream stay in place, even during and after exercise, and I love the subtle (and buildable) coverage of the CC Cream. I’ve been mixing the Primer and CC Cream together and applying, as the CC Cream shade I have is a little too dark for me (it will be perfect later in Summer), and the results are brilliant. How brilliant? Head over to Instagram (link at the bottom of this page) and find out.
