How has Christmas crept up on us again? It seems like only yesterday we were packing away our winter woolies, and welcoming Spring, and here we are heading through December, and the festive gift buying season. We know this time of year can be hectic for most of us, so we’ve taken some of the hard work out of finding the perfect fragrance gifts for the favourite man or women in your life this Christmas. These are our picks of the most “giftable” new fragrances in Australia for your mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter, son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, granddaughter, grandson, or even yourself. After all, don’t we all deserve a little spoiling at this time of year?
Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Xmas Collector
Each year, Jean Paul Gaultier launches Christmas Collector limited editions of his best-selling signature fragrances. This year, the fragrance for women – Jean Paul Gaultier Classique is dressed in a Christmas dress, and packaged in a gorgeous festive snow globe – so perfect for gifting (or keeping). The floral/oriental fragrance contains notes of Orange Blossom blended with Ginger. The scent of Rice Powder is twisted with a caress of Vanilla for a sensual, feminine scent. I want one now! In keeping with the female counterpart, the limited edition Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Xmas Collector is wearing a fabulous festive sweater, and is housed inside a gorgeous snow globe, which when tilted, drizzles the bottle in flakes. A gorgeous gift any man would love to receive (but can you bear to give it away…..)? The oriental fougere fragrance contains notes of uplifting Fresh Mint, delicious Soft Lavender and decadent Sweet Vanilla. Eau de Toilette 125ml RRP $129.00.
Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss
The Goldfield and Bands fragrance collection embraces the Australian landscape, with the only collection of fine fragrances to use native Australian ingredients (in fact the brand’s name pays homage to botanist Joseph Banks). The scents are all unisex, and use unique essences, woods, oils, and flora found in Australia. We love the cult favourite Pacific Rock Moss, with it’s origin inspired by the NSW South Coast. Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Limited Edition Cologne
Those in the know know Jo Malone London make the most exquisitely wearable colognes, inspired by the gorgeous English countryside. The Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia Cologne is one of our favourite fragrances, with its aroma of the crisp freshness of just-ripe pears, enveloped in a bouquet of fragrant white freesias, so we were super excited to see it is available as a limited edition Christmas fragrance. Packaged in a festive gold glitter bottle, it’s something we’ll want to keep on our dresser for the long term, so we might just pick up two!
