Multi Masking

There’s no doubt about it – we found more and more creative ways to multi-task while we were staying at home. Whether it was a wardrobe spring-clean and exercise routine, to spa bath and hair treatment, we emerged from the Covid-19 isolation cleaner, tidier and more gorgeous than ever. If better looking skin is your aim (and heading into Winter this is doubly important), do as we’re doing and use the time we’re still at home to apply a different face mask each day. Whether you prefer a sheet mask, leave-on or rinse off (or all 3 as we do), you can treat different skin concerns quickly and easily with the right mask. Now that things are starting to open up, there’s no reason to stop masking – after all, is there anything better than the instant skin boost a mask can give? Here’s what we’ve been wearing while at home (and will continue to do so now that we’re getting out and about a little more).

Monday – Retreatment Botanics Instant Glow Face Masque

Monday is such a bleah day, perk your skin up with the Retreatment Botanics Instant Glow Face Masque. Designed for skin 35+, the nutrient rich non-drying clay mask contains Emu Apple, Kakadu Plum, Buriti Friut and Kale which combine with fruit acids to help gently brighten and renew your skin. My skin feels super soft with a subtle glow after use. Cruelty Free and Vegan, the formula is also Palm Oil Free. Instant glow face masque 75ml RRP $65.00.

Tuesday – Sukin Deeply Hydrating Biodegradeable Sheet Mask

Heading through Winter, skin can always do with a hydration boost, and the new Sukin Deeply Hydrating Biodegradable Sheet Mask is just the thing. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Sea Algae, and Maize Complex, the sheet mask is applied and left on for 15-30 minutes (we like to use it while in the bath), so the super concentrated serum can deliver deep hydration to thirsty skin for up to 72 hours after regular use. My skin looks radiant and plump after use, and feels so hydrated. Single use Deeply Hydrating Biodegradable Sheet Mask RRP $8.95.

Wednesday – Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask

Hump Day – time to give skin a de-tox. The Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask is the perfect de-tox mask for mature skin with its hydrating properties. Botanical extracts of Cucumber, Papaya, Chamomile, Pineapple, Sugar, Maple, Sugarcane, Orange, Lemon, Bilberry, and Aloe Vera (yes, it does sound good enough to eat), combine to help detox, hydrate, and soothe skin. It’s especially good if you’ve been out in the windy weather and your skin is looking a little raw, and for soothing skin after sun exposure peels, and facials. It’s my go-to mask after being outdoors on a blustery day. Cucumber Gel Mask 150ml RRP $85.00.

Thursday – Nivea Q10 Power Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Sheet Mask

Almost through the week – get skin across the line with the Nivea Q10 Power Anti-Wrinkle + Firming 10 Minute Sheet Mask. This serum infused sheet mask contains Q10 and Creatine, to give your skin a powerful boost of anti-ageing power, to help reduce the look of wrinkles, and firm skin in just 10 minutes. I love to use this to give my skin a regular anti-ageing pick-me-up. Single Use Power Anti-Wrinkle + Firming Sheet Mask RRP $7.95.

Friday – Mavala Skin Vitality Sleeping Mask

It’s wonderful to be able to sleep in at the moment – no children’s sport to get up to (for a little while longer), and we can exercise when we want. Take advantage of the extra sleep time the weekend brings and apply the Mavala Skin Vitality Sleeping Mask on Friday night. The combination of AHA’s and BHA’s in the mask go to work overnight to help remove dead skin cells, leaving you with soft velvety radiant skin the next morning. This mask is my Fri-Yay treat – I love waking up on the weekend to glowing skin. Skin Vitality Sleeping Mask 65ml RRP $54.95.

Saturday – iS CLINICAL Hydra-Intensive Cooling Masque

Saturday is the day we just might have some time to ourselves to sit outside, catch up with a few friends, or go for a walk. The professional strength formula of the iS CLINICAL Hydra-Intensive Cooling Masque contains powerful botanical antioxidants and Hyaluronic Acid, which combine to provide soothing hydration to parched Winter skin (or sunburned Summer skin). The lightweight gel mask cushions and nurtures dry, dehydrated, and sensitive feeling skin, bringing a cool refreshing relief. I love this masque before and after a day bush walking or just lazing inside. Hydra-Intensive Cooling Masque 120g RRP $138.00.

Sunday – SpaScriptions Age Defying Collagen + CoQ10 + Hyaluronic Acid Mask

Head into the working week with younger looking skin (even if you are still staying home), with the SpaScriptions Age Defying Collagen + CoQ10 + Hyaluronic Acid Mask. The pH balanced mask contains Collagen, to help improve skin elasticity, and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, CoQ10, to provide energy to help with cellular renewal, and Hyaluronic Acid to help keep skin super hydrated and nourished. The 15 minute mask is hypo-allergenic, and suitable for all skin types. This is another mask I love to apply in the bath and sit back and let it go to work. Age Defying Collagen + CoQ10 + Hyaluronic Acid Mask 150ml RRP $14.99.
