Micellar Water
You’ve probably seen Micellar Water everywhere recently – it seems every brand has one – but not necessarily understood exactly how it works. In fact, the idea behind Micellar Water, and how it works is very simple. Micellar Water is made up of micelles, which are tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules, suspended in a soft water. These micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they draw out impurities without drying out your skin. Not only does Micellar Water work as a non-drying cleanser, it also removes makeup (stay in place or water proof makeup may need a second cleanse), and is very effective as a gentle eye make up remover. Micellar Water can also act as a toner/softener, prepping your skin for the serum or moisturiser that you use afterwards, so it’s a great multi-tasking product. To use – simply saturate a cotton ball or pad with Micellar Water, and wipe over your face – quick, easy, effective.
