Around this time of year, I like to change my haircare from Summer (smoothing products to help fight the frizz in out hot, humid Summers), to Winter (more hydrating, nourishing products to help combat the cooler, drier, winder weather we experience). This year, in line with my cruelty-free preference, I’ve found a brand I used to use in hotels when we could travel freely (remember that – fond sigh), that now sells retail sizes.

evo haircare believes that good hair shouldn’t come at the expense of the planet, with the entire range being free from sulfates, parabens, dea, tea, propylene glycol and gluten. The range is also not tested on our furry friends (humans only), with Peta cruelty-free accreditation, and most of the range is vegan friendly. The brand uses post-consumer recycled plastic in the packaging and products, and purchases certified carbon credits to fund revegetation projects, to offset greenhouse gas emissions. From the range, I’m using the evo The Therapist Shampoo and Conditioner, which hydrates and softens dry hair (it can be used on coloured hair as well), and the Head Mistress Cuticle Sealer, a brilliant multi-purpose cream that improves manageability and softness, and helps to protect against thermal damage when we blow dry our hair over Winter. This trio is keeping my hair super nourished and hydrated – it looks so shiny, and feels super soft. Evo Therapist Shampoo and Conditioner 300ml each, RRP $34.00 each. Head Mistress Cuticle Sealer 150ml RRP $34.00.
