We know what you’re thinking, and you are correct – Ella Bache is a French brand, however they do have a range of Sun products developed and manufactured in Australia, designed for the Australian sporting lifestyle (and it’s a real coup to have Australian developed suncare under a French brand!)
Ella Baché first locally developed an Australian tailor-made sun care range in the 1980’s promoting the Australian sporting lifestyle – setting the Australian benchmark by incorporating skincare benefits with 30+ broad spectrum sun protection. John Hallas from Ella Baché was the first to research and introduce the first Australian-made suncare protection. Today, it is one of the few skincare companies in Australia that dedicates a team of researchers to creating products for the Australian skin condition.
In fact, so focused were Ella Bache on producing sunscreens for the Australian lifestyle, the iconic product in the range – Great 50+ Sportsbloc was originally called Lifesaver and was tested on the lifesavers at Whale Beach NSW.
